Who i am.

In 2012, with the support of my incredible wife, Kim Ho, we moved from Winnipeg to Leduc, drawn by the promise of opportunity in Alberta. Over the past seven years, we’ve raised two vibrant, kind-hearted children whose actions and reputation reflect our greatest achievements. As a family, without financial incentives or formal organizational support, we’ve spearheaded numerous community initiatives, earning backing from the City of Leduc, local business sponsorships, and dedicated resident volunteers.

In 2015, we opened 9Round Kickboxing 24/7 in Leduc. Over the past decade, our gym has fostered over 2,100 personal relationships and more than 4,300 face-to-face interactions, surpassing what any door-to-door campaign or individual could ever achieve in a year. These connections have given us deep insight into what matters most to Leduc residents in their daily lives.

Our business earned a reputation as the small business that preserved the heart and backbone of Leduc during the COVID-19 era. Though those challenges are behind us, we continue to champion the growth, stability, and spirit of small businesses in our city. As a family, we attend every small business grand opening we can, offering our experience to help them thrive.

We are active participants in Leduc’s vibrant community, regularly attending local programs and events. Year-round, we give back through surprise initiatives as a heartfelt thank you to the community that has supported us, never taking for granted what makes Leduc special.

On a personal note, I bring an extensive business background to our endeavours. I graduated with honours from Red River College, earning a diploma in business management, marketing, economics, and accounting in just two years. This education launched my career with Bowflex Fitness Canada, the world’s most recognized fitness company at the time. After a company restructuring, I embraced entrepreneurship, founding three successful small businesses:

  • A personal training and consulting firm that produced national-level fitness athletes, including my wife, Kim.

  • A car rental fleet with a five-star rating, serving travellers at the airport.

  • 9Round Kickboxing 247, part of the largest kickboxing franchise in the world

I had the privilege of serving on the board of directors for the Downtown Business Association, despite our business being outside the downtown district. I also served on the Franchise Advisory Council for 9Round Kickboxing Global. Over the years, both Kim and I have been nominated multiple times by the Leduc Chamber of Commerce for awards such as Best Small Business Owner, Best Small Business, and Outstanding Customer Service. Remarkably, even our seven-year-old daughter has been recognized by the City of Leduc for her volunteer work and community service.

As a business owner who has coached and connected with community members daily—both physically and mentally—for the past decade, I have gained profound insight into the struggles, triumphs, and aspirations of people from every age group, affiliation, and career path. My curiosity and commitment to understanding human nature drive me to listen, learn, and help, making our family a cornerstone of Leduc’s community.
